FDA StatusSermorelin acetate was previously FDA-approved as the prescription drug product Geref (sermorelin acetate, originally from Serono), used as a growth-hormone stimulation test and for pediatric growth-hormone deficiency, but the branded product was discontinued from the U.S. market around 2008.
